21 Day Challenge: Day 1

It’s day one of the On Target Living 21 Day Challenge. If you aren’t familiar with this challenge, you can read this prior blog post where I go into all the details.

I’ve decided that I’m going to do daily updates here to keep track of each day and to keep myself accountable during the challenge. The main focus of this challenge for me is to eat completely raw for 21 days. I can eat whatever I want, as long as it’s raw fruits or veggies and maybe a little bit of nuts and/or seeds. I am allowing myself to still drink my daily tea, and I gave up coffee years ago so that won’t be an issue at all.

Sorry I didn’t get a pic of me on day 1. I’ll try to post as many pics as I can going forward. I wasn’t expecting today to be such a busy work day, but it was. And I know I won’t post a photo of myself every day because I know me… some days I just don’t feel like taking a picture. Hope you understand… LOL

What I’m hoping to accomplish during this challenge is:

  • Getting my digestive tract back in balance so I can stop feeling so bloated.
  • Remove cravings for processed foods.
  • Clearer skin and eyes.
  • Better quality sleep.
  • More energy.
  • Mental clarity.
  • Rapid healing.
  • Emotional cleansing and stress release.

I’ll be keeping track of each of these areas of my health as the days progress.

It’s about 9pm right now as I’m writing this, and I have to say that I did great! I ate all raw today and didn’t give into any cravings. I drank 2 green smoothies, had raw carrots for a snack, a couple of bananas, and a big salad for dinner. My day was long today, it was my late day at work so I didn’t get off until 6pm. I brought my food with me so I was prepared, and everything went really well. Yay me!!

So here’s to day one! I’ll check back in tomorrow with another update!
