I’m doing a 21 day challenge!

So we are well into the new year. It’s past the first week and I’m ready to get serious about getting my life and my body back on track. I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that I overindulged during the holidays. And while it was a delicious and fun time… it did come at a price. I’ve gained about six pounds that feels like sixty! I don’t feel like my light and high-energy, high vibration self, and I know it’s time to be and do BETTER.

I stumbled across the 21 Day Challenge via On Target Living and decided that it was the perfect springboard to get me started with a new and determined focus. I love the idea, the challenge seems to be manageable enough for me to complete, and I know it will exercise my discipline “muscles” that have gotten weak these last couple of months.

Now while I did sign-up for the OTL 21 Day Challenge, I will be tweaking my challenge just a bit. My goal is to incorporate intermittent fasting every day of the challenge and I will also do 3 one day water fasts once every 7 days during the challenge also. I know this may not be for everyone, but because I am a “seasoned faster” and have experience taking strict measures with my diet, I feel more than comfortable doing this during this 21 day period. Of course, do not feel the need to do something similar, just do what will work for you, your body and your lifestyle.

So today is Saturday before the Monday start (it starts on 1/8/2018), and today I will work on writing out my plan for those 21 days. I will also make sure to include taking my supplements that I have been slacking on as well.

If you’re up for it, I’d like to invite you to participate in this challenge too. It can be structured however you’d like so it works for you. For example, if you’re not vegan like I am, you can just focus on clean eating and making healthier choices during those 21 days. And if you sign up for the On Target 21 Day Challenge, I think they will send you daily emails to help keep you motivated and on track.

So let’s do this!!! I will be blogging every day, sharing what I eat, and keeping you updated to my progress as we go along. I’m excited to be doing this and I look forward to see how I change as a result… wish me luck!
