Review: Trader Joe’s Organic Lentil Vegetable Soup

Trader Joe's organic lentil vegetable soup

In the colder months, I find myself craving soups a lot more. This winter season is no exception. When I was picking up groceries at Trader Joe’s last week, I saw the Organic Lentil Vegetable Soup. It looked good, so I bought it.

This soup comes in a small box, approximately 17 oz. It’s vegan, and all you gotta do is literally heat and eat. It’s a hearty soup that has a good amount of lentils. Don’t you just hate lentil soups that barely have any lentils?

It’s a very filling soup. And even though it smelled and looked really, really good, I was disappointed with the taste. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything spectacular. Not that I was expecting it to be, but I was hoping that it would have a bit more flavor instead of tasting really bland. It’s basically just an average soup that fits the bill when you’re feeling like soup but don’t wanna make any from scratch.

Overall, I’d give this soup a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. The best things about it are the convenience, and the fact that’s it’s organic. Other than that, you won’t see any sparks flying when you eat this soup. LOL
